I am offering online councelling so that you can still access the help that you need at this time of social distancing

About me and the way I work:
When life gets tough it can be so hard to know just what to do to put things right Feelings of anxiety, depression, anger, difficulties within our relationships – these things are not always easy to change on our own. I have had counselling myself and I know how important it is to feel at ease when talking about the things that concern us. So, whether coming individually or as a couple I will try and make that first step towards getting help as easy as possible, offering a confidential service that is relaxed and non-judgemental in pleasant surroundings.
As an integrative counsellor I work with different therapeutic approaches, and working with you, will help you to find your own way through the issues that are causing concern and distress.
Bring whatever concerns you have, whether they be about relationship issues, anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, loss and change, indeed any issues you wish to discuss, and I will do all that I can to make those first steps as easy as I can.
Individual and couples counselling:
Beginning any form of therapy can be daunting but once you have made the first step there is often a sense of relief. The first session will be an opportunity to say what is going on for you and through exploration the intention is to gain a greater insight and awareness leading to a deeper understanding of your circumstances. Helping you then to move on and change things.
As a couple it can sometimes be quite hard to talk about your inner most thoughts in front of your partner – what if they disagree with your opinion, are hurt by what you say, will there be conflict or a sense of guilt. These things are difficult to confront, but could be the reason why people find that the communication has broken down. After the initial fear you may find that there is a great sense of release, even after one session, because together something is finally being done.
